Touching Grass

When I am not engaged in laboratory work or research, I dedicate my time to reading fantastical fictional narratives, comics, and scholarly works on historical costumes and textiles, with a particular focus on funerary and mourning garments. I am also an avid gamer, believing that gaming—whether solo or in group settings—offers valuable opportunities for team building, communication, and leadership development, which is often overlooked in other contexts.

As a pop-surrealist painter, I primarily work with acrylics, as I have always been a tactile learner. Additionally, I am an accomplished sewist with decades of experience in designing and creating garments for fashion shows, fantasy events, and historical reenactments.

I have long been a poet, singer, and songwriter, with extensive experience fronting metal and punk bands. In my youth, I traveled extensively across the United States, touring and performing at various underground venues and events.

I enjoy attending metal concerts, visiting museums and libraries, and savoring a cloudy day with a walk in the forest or a local cemetery, accompanied by a sketchbook and a hot cup of tea.
